Privacy and Your Data
What stays in your browser, what is counted in aggregate, and what a broker handles under its own policy.
Calculators stay in your browser
The calculators on this site run in your browser, and the numbers you type into them are never sent to a server. If you enter a position size, a price or a margin figure, that arithmetic happens on your own device.
This matters for a reader working out something like the margin on a 0.10-lot gold position, which comes to about $85.50 at the applicable cap. You can run that sum without handing over your account size, your balance or anything else to this desk.
What the broker handles
When you follow a link to a broker, that broker sets its own cookies and handles your data under its own privacy policy, not ours. Registration details, identity documents and payment information go to the broker directly.
That includes funding by M-Pesa, where the payment record sits with the broker and the mobile money provider rather than with this desk. Read the broker's policy before you register, in the same way you would read its fee schedule.
Traffic counts and local storage
We keep only aggregate traffic counts, which tell us how many people opened a page and roughly where from, not who any individual reader is. We do not build a profile of you and we do not sell reader data.
Local storage on your device holds your own preferences, such as a setting you chose on a calculator, so the page behaves the same next time you open it. That storage sits on your machine and you can clear it through your browser whenever you like.
